A passionate group of content marketing and SaaS pros.
The SaaSpirin team brings a unique combination of skills and experience that goes far beyond creating content. We understand your challenges—we’ve created SaaS solutions and grown businesses, led marketing campaigns, and managed content distribution channels ourselves. The strategies we recommend are rooted in real-world experience, and content production is expertly managed by a specialized team of coordinators and editors. Originally a computer engineer, Nicolas created and ran a successful software development company specializing in SaaS before founding SaaSpirin. His discussions with software clients and experience sourcing marketing content for his own company made him realize that there was a gap in the SaaS and MarTech content market—a lack of ongoing marketing support for companies that weren’t content experts. That gap is what eventually led him to establish SaaSpirin.
As the title of founder implies, Nicolas is the brains behind the concept of SaaSpirin. As CEO, he’s very involved in everything non-delivery-related, from sales to market campaign ideation, process optimization, and general strategy.
Nicolas has a lightning-quick ability to pick up on even the smallest errors and inconsistencies in written content, from typos to font errors. He’s also an uber-organized planner who basically lives inside his calendar—which, he admits, comes with its own challenges.
While SaaSpirin is Nicolas’s baby, it’s not his only love. He’s also equal parts fitness enthusiast (he does powerlifting) and foodie. On top of that, he’s a self-taught musician who’s currently learning composition, and he’d love to have the chance to score movies one day.
Lisa brings two decades of experience helping B2B brands build their industry position and grow their user base through content marketing. Before joining SaaSpirin, she worked with SaaS content agency Animalz as senior content marketing manager, held multiple roles with an SEO agency, and managed the marcomm team at an EdTech company. To round it all out, she holds an MBA.
Lisa has been with us since the start: She helped set up SaaSpirin’s processes and built our team to offer content services to SaaS companies. In the beginning, Lisa was our strategist, editor, coordinator, and recruiter (yes, all at once!) Now, as the chief content strategist, she consults not only on SaaSpirin’s content but on all aspects of the business.
Lisa has the ability to anticipate what a target market wants to learn about. She digs in to answer the hard questions that others gloss over when it comes to researching and creating content. This helps immensely with distribution and engagement, since her content is always unique.
Lisa has been referenced in a couple of books, including David Meerman Scott's original BusinessWeek bestseller, The New Rules of Marketing & PR. She got her start in content in Japan as a copywriter for telecom giant NTT over 20 years ago.
Andrea has been a certified editor for about 15 years. Eventually, Andrea became a full-time freelance editor with a focus on SaaS and ESL. Her work has included proofreading financial statements (snooze), creating hotel descriptions for an online travel company, editing resources for schools in developing countries, and more. She also writes blogs for a couple of language-learning platforms.
As a SaaSpirin editor, Andrea is the last checkpoint before content is delivered to clients or uploaded. She works with writers and the SaaSpirin coordinators to ensure that every piece of content meets clients’ expectations. She also helps with the recruitment of new writers.
As an editor, Andrea’s superpower—probably unsurprisingly—is correcting words. Fixing sentences with bad syntax and abolishing less-than-perfect adjectives are just two elements of this (pretty boring) superpower.
Andrea loves to cook (but hates following recipes) and enjoys camping with her husband and son around their home province of British Columbia, Canada.
She also lived in a remote village in Uganda, where she was once attacked by safari ants in the middle of the night.
We’re proud to work with 12 (and growing!) skillful, up-and-coming writers who are experienced in a variety of B2B tech-related industries like email automation, ad optimization, customer data management, ecommerce tools, and other marketing software. They also write for clients in EdTech, HRTech, FinTech, software development, cybersecurity, information management, process automation, and infrastructure.
We assign dedicated writers to specific accounts whenever possible. But rest assured: If we do have to switch up a writer for any reason, our strategist and editor ensure consistency and a seamless flow of content. Whatever the topic, this reliable team never lets us down—they always go the extra mile to deliver top-notch content to every client.
We’re always looking for talented content professionals. See content marketing jobs at SaaSpirin and get in touch if you’re interested in joining our team.
